What painting services do you offer?
Do you paint wall panelling too?
Yes — we professionally paint all types of wall panelling, including shaker panels, slat panels, tongue & groove panelling, and wainscoting. Painting the panelling after installation ensures a smooth, seamless, high-end finish. Painting costs start from €30 per linear metre.
How much does painting cost in Dublin?
3
Painting costs depend on the size of the area, the condition of the surfaces, the level of preparation required, the type of paint used, and whether the job is interior or exterior. Every project is different, which is why we provide bespoke quotes tailored to your specific needs.
To give you a rough idea, below are labour-only price indications. The cost of paint and materials is not included:
Small bedroom (walls, ceiling & skirting boards): from €200+
Hall, stairs & landing (walls, ceiling & skirting boards): from €300+
Banisters: typically €100–€250+
Doors: €30–€100+ per door
Wall panelling painting: from €30 per linear metre
Kitchen cabinets: from €300–€1,000
For an accurate price, we always recommend a free quote based on your exact requirements.
Do I need to prepare before you arrive?
4
We require clearing smaller furniture, removing pictures or wall décor, and providing clear access to the areas being painted. We take care of professional surface preparation, including filling, sanding, and masking, to achieve the best possible result.
How long does a painting project take?
5
The timeframe depends on the scale and complexity of the job. A single room may take one to two days, while larger projects such as full house interiors or exteriors may take several days. We always provide a clear schedule in advance.
Do you offer both interior and exterior painting?
6
Yes — we carry out both interior and exterior painting projects. Interior work includes walls, ceilings, and woodwork, while exterior painting covers walls, façades, window frames, doors, and other outdoor surfaces using weather-appropriate paints.
Are your painters professional and reliable?
7
Yes — all work is carried out with care, attention to detail, and a strong focus on quality. We work cleanly, respect your property, and aim to deliver excellent results on every project.
Can you help with colour selection?
8
Yes — we can advise on colour choices, finishes, and combinations to help you achieve the look you want, whether modern, classic, or bold. Our colour advice is free, though you’ll need to obtain any colour samples directly from the shop if you wish to see them in person.
What paint brands do you use?
9
We use high-quality, trusted paint brands that are well-suited to Irish homes and weather conditions, ensuring durable finishes, excellent coverage, and long-lasting results. Our preferred brands include Fleetwood, Dulux, and Coloutrend.
How many coats of paint do you apply?
10
This depends on the specific project, which is why a bespoke quote is always necessary. In short — we apply as many coats as needed to achieve a flawless finish.
Typically, walls require two coats, but if the new colour is significantly lighter or darker, it may take three to four coats. For pure white finishes, especially over dark colours, it can take up to five coats to achieve the best result.
Why hire a professional painter instead of doing it yourself?
11
Professional painting ensures proper preparation, even coverage, clean lines, and long-lasting results. Hiring a professional saves time, avoids costly mistakes, and delivers a finish that’s difficult to achieve with DIY methods.
Do you provide the paint, or should I buy it myself?
12
We strongly recommend that we supply the paint. We purchase directly from manufacturers and trade suppliers, which means you get premium-quality paints at significantly lower prices than retail. This also ensures we use the correct paint type and quantity for your project.
If you prefer to buy the paint yourself, please speak with us first. Using low-quality or incorrect paint can result in poor coverage and may require extra coats, which can increase the overall painting cost — sometimes even up to double. In most cases, choosing quality paint actually costs less and delivers a far better, long-lasting finish.
